The Importance of Accents

     

The reason I maintain this comic blog is to 1) force myself to produce work on a deadline (ha ha) and 2) to try out new techniques. In today's comic you may note my attempts to focus on shading (with a marker rather than digitally), dynamic poses (okay, only in one panel), and foreshortening. In order to become a great artist, ya gotta be a crappy artist for a while.... and the only way to get through the crap-stage is by WORKING through it!
